Sasha Koushk-Jalali - Tuba
Sasha Koushk-Jalali gained his formal musical training at the Royal Academy of Music, London, graduating in 2010. Since, he has become a sought-after freelance tuba player in London, the UK, and abroad.
He has won Principal Tuba trials with the London Symphony Orchestra, BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.
He regularly works with the; London Philharmonic Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, BBC Concert Orchestra, London Sinfonietta, London Contemporary Orchestra, Welsh National Opera, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Northern Sinfonia, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, English National Opera, Aurora Orchestra, Opera North, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, and the Orchestra of the Swiss Romande.
Alongside his orchestral performing commitments Sasha regularly examines and teaches at the Royal College of Music, and the Royal Academy of Music, and is a member of Inner City Brass, and Septura brass ensemble.
In his spare time Sasha is a keen rock climber, squash player, and self-confessed technology geek. He recently completed an MSc. in Music, Mind & Brain, and is halfway through an MSc. in Computer Science.
